Trainee Support

The NSF IGERT program provides for generous support to encourage the brightest and best-qualified students to apply to the IGERT program. Funding is only available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Trainee support includes:

• $30,000 per year stipend, renewable for a second year
• tuition benefit
• subsidized health insurance
• conference travel support
• publication cost support

Other benefits to the Biocentric Robotics program are:

• Early exposure to research
• Careful mentoring
• Exposure to a vibrant and multi-disciplinary group
• Activities with other IGERT trainees
